Our co-operative values set Caisse Financial Group apart from the traditional banks and we uphold these values in all that we do and decide. Everyone who banks with us is equally important.
Our structure is different.
When you bank at Caisse Financial Group, you become a member of our co-operative and hold one member share. Collectively, our members own the co-operative and have a say in how the co-operative is operated. Each member share has the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting. Membership is open to all Manitobans.
Our philosophy is different.
The traditional banks have conflicting business objectives; meeting their shareholders’ objectives and satisfying their clients’ expectations. Our shareholders are the members who bank at Caisse, so we only have one business objective: to provide great rates, products and services for all of our members’ personal, business and agricultural financial needs. That is why our members awarded us a 90% satisfaction rating.
We are local.
We are integrally connected to our members and our communities. We live, play and work in the same communities as our members. Our operating decisions are made locally at our Corporate Office in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and strategic guidance is provided by a representative Board of Directors elected by the members. You can speak directly to our Chief Executive Officer or any member of our executive management team. Our employees come from the communities we serve. We volunteer in the community and provide financial support for community projects.
We give back.
We remain committed to our communities and all who live there because we live there too. Through our Community Sponsorship Program, we give up to 5% of our profits annually to local community projects and activities and through our Bursary Program, we award 20 bursaries every year to students.
We have deep roots.
We have a rich history of people and events that have shaped our co-operative, starting in 1937 with a grassroots movement that founded the first Manitoba Caisses in local communities. All Manitoba Caisses merged in 2010 to create Caisse Financial Group, an even stronger, more modern and dynamic co-operative.
