Interac Flash (Tap) Limits

 
In order to make contactless payments easier, Interac limits are now increased!

Effective immediately, the limits for Interac Flash (Tap) can increase to $250 per transaction and $400 cumulative.

To activate the new limits, cardholders will have to make 3 consecutive transactions at a point of sale using their personal identification number (PIN).

1. How can I increase my Interac Flash (Tap) limit on my Caisse Financial Group debit card?

To increase your Interac Flash limit on your debit card, you will need to complete three consecutive transactions at an Interac terminal (at a merchant), using your personal identification number (PIN).
 

2. Is there a minimum amount of money that must be met in order for the 3 transactions to be valid to increase my Interac Flash (Tap) limit on my debit card?

No. As long as you make three consecutive transactions at an Interac terminal (at a merchant), using your personal identification number (PIN), the amount of the three transactions does not matter.
 

3. Should I call my Caisse Financial Group branch before making the three consecutive transactions, in order to increase my Interac Flash limit (Tap)

No. You do not need to call your Caisse Financial Group branch. The change will be automatic.
 

4. Will the Interac terminal notify me when my Interac Flash limit is increased?

No. The Interac terminal will not notify you when the Interac Flash limit is increased. The change will be automatic.
 

5. If I lose my debit card and get a new one, should I repeat the process to increase my Interac Flash (Tap) limit?

Yes, when you get a new debit card you have to start the process again to increase your limit.
 

6. My debit card is now expired and I received a new one in the mail, do I have to start the process again to increase my Interac Flash (Tap) limit?

Yes, when you get a new debit card you have to start the process again to increase your limit.
